Biografia
Sono Marco Di Somma, Ottico Optometrista.
Mi sono laureato in Ottica e Optometria nel 2017, presso la "Federico II" di Napoli, con una tesi di Laurea in "Confronto fra refrazione con occlusione e con PASKAL 3D". PASKAL 3D è un software che ci permette di effettuare una misurazione della vista in condizioni di visione BIOCULARE anzichè in visione MONOCULARE attraverso l'utilizzo di filtri a polarizzazione circolare anteposti sull'occhialino di prova, e ho conseguito l’abilitazione all’esercizio dell’arte ausiliaria di ottico nel 2018.
Ho cominciato a lavorare presso un centro ottico della mia città, Torre del Greco, in provincia di Napoli, già nel 2016, cosa che mi ha aiutato molto nel prosieguo finale della mia carriera universitaria.
Nel mio percorso lavorativo sono sempre stato spinto da una forte curiosità, e dalla voglia di migliorarmi sempre di più, cosa che mi ha portato a frequentare diversi corsi in presenza erogati da diverse aziende oftalmiche e di lenti a contatto, a seguire numerosi webinar per mantenermi aggiornato sulle procedure optometriche e contattologiche, e conoscere i nuovi prodotti che vengono inseriti man mano nel mercato, e a presenziare a diversi congressi.
Tra i diversi corsi che ho seguito, i più importanti sono stati quelli che ho frequentato all’Hoya Faculty di Budapest sulle lenti a supporto accomodativo nel 2018, e il corso di contattologia presso l’Irsoo di Vinci nel 2020.
Attualmente sono in forze ad un centro ottico e mi occupo di controlli optometrici, applicazioni di lenti a contatto sia morbide che rigide, gestione ordini e laboratorio, e supporto alla clientela.
